Visit the fort with SFO or kindergarten during the summer recess
Garderhøj The fort is part of Copenhagen’s fortifications and was built in 1892. The fort opened as an intermediary centre in 2013 after a major renovation. The fortress now houses interactive exhibitions, made by Experimentarium. Here you can try the soldiers life on your own body! During the summer recess we offer special activities for children. The activities are very well suited to groups from SFO or kindergarten. The children each get their Soldaterbog with 9 missions to try. At the missions, the children should try to train as the soldiers did in the first. World war. They must translate Morse messages, toss with cannon balls, put dressings, run strongly and much more. If you come up with a larger group, it’s a good idea to divide the children into smaller groups that go around with an adult.
every half hour we offer a guided tour of the gun tower, here the kids themselves can try to push the cannon tower into position. If you come up with a larger group, you can call in advance and we will make sure that we are ready to receive you when you arrive. We would like to give the children a brief joint introduction to the fort and to the tasks of the soldiers ‘ books.
It is possible to bring packed lunches and dine in one of the indoor dining rooms or outside on the large green area around the fort. The price for a group from school/SFO/Kindergarten is 250 for up to 30 children and 5 adults.
